So yeah, this is it. More than three years (off and on) of transcribing Live 105 playlists in my journals came to an end on June 30, 2008. At this point, I was only listening to Live 105 to write down the 10 songs. The playlists were just sounding way more repetitive and corporate. I also had gotten a Last.fm account six months earlier, so I was basing my music discoveries more around that and continuing to listen to the music that was already on my iPod. As a result, I stopped listening to Live 105 altogether and wouldn't pick up again for at least another four years (Even then, I really only listen when I'm in my car).
This was the last playlist I ever transcribed. Does that mean I'm done with this blog? No, I may continue to post other old playlists I find from Radio & Records. Until then, it's been fun clearing out my closet. I didn't reach a wide audience, but we'll see how many hits I get when '00s nostalgia kicks in.
