This would be the year that KITS flipped from a top 40 station to a cutting-edge alternative station known as Live 105 (It now goes by "Alt 105.3," but it is essentially still the same station). Apparently, there was a full 105.3 year-end countdown that year, but only the top 10 was archived on Rocklists.com.

2. Depeche Mode- But Not Tonight
3. Erasure- Oh L'Amour
4. The Smiths- There is a Light That Never Goes Out
5. Smithereens- Blood and Roses

7. INXS- What You Need
8. R.E.M.- Superman
